Aurelie and Joseph’s engagement session at Herrick Lake in Wheaton, IL, was truly magical. They made the drive in from South Bend, IN, and it was so wonderful to meet them in person! The day started with a light rain that quickly turned into a soft snowfall, creating a perfect winter atmosphere. The gentle flurries and the lake’s beautiful reflection of the trees and scenery set the stage for some truly stunning shots.

Aurelie and Joseph were so natural in front of the camera, their love for each other obvious in every shot. I couldn’t help but love the contrast of the winter landscape against their upcoming spring wedding, sweet moments from two different seasons of their love story for them to forever look back on and cherish. As the snow began to blanket the lake, the scene transformed into a true winter wonderland, providing the perfect backdrop for some of our favorite shots of the day.
